Carry Nepali rupees in small notes. ATMs exist at Lukla and Namche but are unreliable, and none work above that.
Lukla flights have a strict weight limit, usually about 15 kg per passenger including hand luggage. Use a soft duffel and leave the rest in Kathmandu storage.
Keep one or two spare days before your international flight home.

Bring your own prescriptions and ask your doctor about altitude medication.
Both cost extra at most lodges, and the price rises with altitude. A power bank helps, but cold drains batteries, so keep it in your sleeping bag at night.
Your policy must cover trekking at altitude and helicopter evacuation. Send us the documents before departure.
Refill from lodge-supplied boiled or filtered water and treat any other source.
