The Tibet Lhasa Tour is carefully crafted to highlight the key cultural sites around Lhasa city, offering a perfect blend of comfort and adventure for an unforgettable holiday experience. Day 01

Depart for Lhasa

Embark on your exciting journey to Lhasa. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Lhasa, which is about a 2-hour drive from the airport. After check-in, take some time to rest and adjust to the altitude. This is a great opportunity to refresh yourself before settling in for an overnight stay in the mystical city of Lhasa, where the Tibetan culture and traditions await you.

Day 02

Full Day Sightseeing in Lhasa

After a relaxing morning, set out on a full day of exploration. Your first stop will be the Potala Palace, the iconic and majestic former residence of the Dalai Lama, perched on a hilltop with panoramic views of the city. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a must-see, with its impressive architecture, intricate murals, and serene atmosphere that reflect centuries of Tibetan Buddhist culture.
Next, enjoy a stroll through the Barkhor Market, one of the oldest and most vibrant market areas in Lhasa. The market is a hub of Tibetan life, with colorful stalls selling traditional Tibetan goods, religious items, handicrafts, and local food. Immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere and experience the unique charm of Lhasa’s streets.

Day 03

Visit to Drepung Monastery

On Day 3, visit the Drepung Monastery, the largest of Tibet’s monasteries. Once home to over 10,000 monks, Drepung is still a major spiritual center. Wander through its expansive courtyards, temples, and halls, all surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Explore its history and learn about its importance in Tibetan Buddhism. The monastery’s serene and sacred atmosphere makes it a highlight of your tour.

Day 04

Visit to Sera Monastery

On Day 4, embark on a journey to Sera Monastery, the second-largest monastery in Tibet. Sera is renowned for its lively debates, where monks engage in philosophical discussions, often accompanied by dramatic gestures. The monastery’s stunning architecture and peaceful surroundings make it an ideal place to learn more about Tibetan Buddhist practices and the daily life of the monks. After exploring the monastery, take time to appreciate the beautiful landscape that encircles it.

Day 05

Departure or Tour Extension

On your final day, enjoy an early morning drive to the airport for your departure flight to Kathmandu or your onward destination. Depending on your travel plans, you may choose to extend your stay in Tibet, with more opportunities to explore its many other fascinating sites and cultural landmarks.
